Our Sick Lil Cowboy

Every time Preston gets sick I am reminded of two things....1) How blessed we are to have such wonderful nurses and doctors that take good care of him and 2) How tough our lil cowboy really is.
Yesterday Preston started shivering and crying during swim lessons. If you're on FB or have talked to me recently, you know how much he absolutely LOVES swim lessons. So, needless to say, I found it odd and took him out of the pool. As soon as he was in the car he fell asleep. Then when we got home he only drank half of his bottle before falling asleep (while in the midst of crawling over to me). Once again I found this odd because Preston loves his bottles and only sleeps in his crib. But I tiptoed around the house, trying not to wake him. When he woke up and I picked him up that's when I knew something was wrong. He was so incredibly hot that it was almost too much to hold him! His temp was 103 and not going down, despite the cool bath and fever reducing medicine. His pediatrician said it was most likely a virus and he'd see him in the morning. But his fever kept going up. So when it hit 104 Rob and I decided to take him to Pediatric Urgent Care.
We were surprised to see Preston's regular nurse there when we walked in. She took one look at him and knew something was wrong because he was so lethargic. The doctor gave him a thorough examination and said he most likely had roseola, a virus that has been going around for the past few weeks. She said to keep giving him meds and to expect a rash to break out on his back once the fever breaks. The thing I liked best about this dr was that she called not once, not twice but three times to check up on Preston! She also gave us her personal cell number so we could call her at any time last night if things got worse. He was so tired that he almost fell asleep when giving him his 2nd bath. But he was having problems sleeping so I finally went in the nursery and slept with him. Other than me waking him up at 2am to give him more meds because he was on fire again, he slept well.
This morning when I took him to his regular pediatrician, Nurse Julie immediately asked how he was. She said she went home worried about him last night. Dr. Althoff re-examined him this morning and confirmed what Dr. Hendrickson had said....roseola. The good news is that he'll be able to celebrate his 1st birthday on Saturday (unless his fever doesn't go away by Friday). The bad news is that he's contagious for 72 hours so that means no last swim lesson tomorrow and a lot of last minute shopping for his party on Thursday and Friday. But, if that's the worst of it we'll survive just fine. After all, we have one tough lil cowboy we're talkin' 'bout here!

Excellent Expo

I can't believe in rehashing our weekend that I forgot to mention the Expo! There was a Baby Expo in town that had fabulous vendors. Preston and I went on Saturday and I'm glad we did. I was able to get him fingerprinted and his picture taken so, heaven forbid, if anything ever happened we would have records for the authorities. That was an important part of the Expo for me but the most sentimental part was when I got to personally thank the PICU manager at Renown Hospital for helping us when Preston was so sick last Summer. She didn't remember us but was very touched that I gave her a sincere thank you for all that the staff did to help us and Preston during that difficult time. She kept oohing and aahing over Preston and how it makes her happy to see him so healthy. I walked away from the Renown booth, pretty happy that I had gone to the Expo just to run into her. Other than those two big moments, we had fun getting a BUNCH of free stuff and watching the other babies, kids and mommies. There were a few booths that I wanted to visit but didn't get to because of time restraints. I'm looking forward to the next one so I can have more time to visit the exhibits and do activities with Preston. I didn't like the fact that the Expo was held at a smoke filled casino, but other than that it was a great event to attend!

Day of Rest

Like I blogged last night (before Preston deleted it), it's been a busy week. We had something every night last week. Rob and Preston got to have a couple "Guys' Nights" while I did Girls' Nights. Yesterday morning Rob and I finished Preston's swing set. Before Preston got to enjoy it we left for several hours. One of my good friends and I had lost contact. She found me on FB a few months ago and we've enjoyed reconnecting. Her family has a cabin in Soda Springs so we spent the afternoon there, catching up on old times. Her boys and Preston had fun playing together and the guys talked hunting. We enjoyed a beautiful drive home around Donner Lake. (It's been nice having Rob home on the weekends so we can have quality family time) Once we were home Preston was able to enjoy his swing set to the fullest. He loved swinging and playing on the slide. His neighbor friend, Kiana, even came over to play with him on the swing set, which he thought was great.
Today has been relaxing for the most part...well as relaxing as it can be hanging out with a walking toddler! I went to church then picked up the sandbox my parents got Preston for his birthday. After getting home I shot my bow (in a dress and flip flops mind you), took care of the goats and watched NASCAR. Now that the race is over Preston is going to enjoy playing in his little pool. I thought we were going to be home for the rest of the day but we got invited to our friends' for dinner. Rob and I are both "socialed" out (Thanks Rob for the new term) but by going there it saves me a trip to Sparks later this week and I don't have to cook- both bonuses! Overall, it's been a day of rest and I'm loving every minute of it, knowing that this upcoming week will be busy with swim lessons, family coming to town and 1st birthday preparation!

Busy Weekend

I just typed a long blog and Preston deleted it so here is the long and short of it. We've been busy but through it all we got Preston's swing set finished. After being gone all day, he was able to enjoy it. He "climbed" up the slide, played on the swing and LOVED the steering wheel on it. It's perfect for him! (There are pics of him playing on it on FB)

Create Your Own Title....

Right now we're supposed to be at the Reno Rodeo with some friends. But there was a bad accident on Gieger, shutting it down for 3 1/2 hours, so we're at home relaxing instead. To be honest, I'm kind of relieved because last night was a late night. Rob and I got to go on a date for the first time since February and we made every minute count. We had a delicious dinner at Outback then went to the Eric Church concert. Doors opened at 8pm but he didn't do on stage until almost 11pm! He played until 12:30am, getting us home around 1am. Between Preston waking up at 3:15 and Rob's alarm going off an hour later, I didn't get much sleep. But, even with only a few hours of sleep under my belt, I managed to have a busy and productive day. I took advantage of my dad being in town and asked him to put Preston's swing set together. After he (I helped all of 5 minutes) worked on it for a couple hours he had to call it quits because Preston had swim lessons. Just like last time Preston was a champ! He went under a few times and came up smiling every time. After swim lessons, my parents treated us to lunch. Surprisingly, Preston is becoming quite the picky eater! He LOVES fruit and eats most veggies but he's getting picky about the rest. Today was one of those days. He just wanted to drink out of his sippy cup instead, which is fine with me. After lunch we came home and I started getting ready for the rodeo. I was so tired that I decided to lay down for awhile. That's when Rob called to tell me about Geiger. Rob decided to park his truck on the side of the road and Preston and I picked him up at the mailboxes. We had a nice dinner and enjoyed a relaxing evening at home. I was looking forward to the rodeo but it was nice to be home instead.

Oh, What a Week!

When people say that it's usually followed by a groan or said in a whiny tone. But, not with me, not with this week. I say it with excitement! To be honest, after having so much fun this past weekend, I didn't know how this week would top it. But so far it has and will continue to! Yesterday Preston started swim lessons, which was great fun. Today my parents are coming to town for the night. My dad and I will try to put Preston's new swing set together (Thank you Mimi and Grandpa) then I get to go order his BIRTHDAY cake. From there I'm going to enjoy a much needed massage that Rob got me for our anniversary. Tonight we're going out for a post anniversary celebration and I can hardly wait!! As much as I love having Preston with us for everything I am REALLY looking forward to enjoying a meal without taping down a placemat, moving silverware, sharing my meal and entertaining a toddler so everyone else in the vicinity can enjoy their meal (usually at the expense of mine getting cold). As if today wasn't going to be fun enough I have something every day this week to look forward to. Tomorrow is more swim lessons in the afternoon and the Reno Rodeo in the evening. Thursday is coffee with a good friend and my book club that night (always a great time with the ladies!!). Friday I'm having some women over in the evening for an eco-friendly party. Saturday tops it off with the Baby Expo and friends coming to the house to meet/play with Little Joe and Candy. Although I've grown to enjoy my down time, I'm glad that this week is so busy and fun. It takes my mind off of going back to work, Rob leaving town for 3 months and Preston starting daycare in a few weeks! Until then I'll continue to have fun with the boys and create a memory bank full of great memories!

Lil Fish

Preston started swim lessons today and I, of course, am the proud mom! He did such a great job!! There were 9 kids there, of which 4 of them cried and one was actually taken out of the pool because he couldn't handle it. Preston, however, went along with everything that was asked by the instructor. He wasn't a huge fan of "floating" on his back but he tolerated it. He really liked splashing and playing Humpty Dumpty. That's where the kids sat on the edge of the pool and the parents recited "Humpty Dumpty". When we got to the "had a great fall" part the kids were to "fall" into the pool. Preston couldn't wait! As soon as I put him on the wall he wanted to jump right back in. At the end the instructor told the parents to hold their child at arm's length then say, "Ready, Set, Go!". After that we blew on our child's face (to get them to kind of hold their breath in reaction) and had him/her "swim" under water for a couple seconds. The instructor informed us that it was more nerve wrecking on the parents than the kids and he was right! Preston did a FABULOUS job. The second time I did it he even had a big smile for me when he was pulled to the surface. Pretty soon our lil fish is going to be ready to swim!

Rumble in the Rubies

Rob FINALLY had a weekend off so we decided to make the most of it. We took a roadtrip to Elko, a favorite place of ours. Along the way we drove through the area where our antelope hunt will be later this Summer. Despite the miles we drove, we didn't see an antelope. We even stopped and "glassed" to no avail. Although we were in the car for many hours, Preston was a trooper. We would've gone longer but wanted to get to Elko so we could have dinner and swim. When we got there we were in for a surprise. Rumble in the Rubies (a motorcycle thing) and a high school rodeo were taking place. We went to 3 or 4 hotels before we finally found one that had an open room for a reasonable rate....and pool. After checking in we went to our favorite restaurant, The Star. It's a Basque place with the most delicious food! I ordered halibut and decided it's now my favorite thing there. If I hadn't filled up on all the great appetizers beforehand, I would've downed the entire fillet without a problem! Once we got back to the hotel we took advantage of the pool. We blew up Preston's new floaty and "set sail". He had so much fun!! He loved floating around and swimming with Daddy. It was such a quality family time! This morning we woke up early, thanks to the "Rumblers". Preston gave Daddy a book of Father/Son pictures that he can take with him on his long job in Battle Mtn. I took advantage of the hotel breakfast (Yes, this trip was all about food for me!) and then we hit the road. On the way back, along the side of the interstate, we saw 3 antelope. We pulled over to the shoulder so we could see 2 of them with the binoculars and spotting scope. I was glad we finally got to see antelope because I had never seen one up close and personal. All in all, from beginning to end, it was a perfect family getaway full of laughter and fun memories!!

Worrywort

I'm reading a disturbing book for our monthly book club. I made the mistake of reading the worst part of the book right before bed. Between that and the "heat" (I use that term loosely because it was only mid-70's) I had a hard time going to sleep. Instead I laid there and worried about things that could not be fixed at 10:30pm. Since we had the door open I heard coyotes close by so I worried that they'd get to LJ and Candy. After laying there thinking about it for several minutes, I couldn't take it any longer so I closed the door and prayed for the goats' safety. Then I came to the realization that Preston will start daycare in less than a month. I began worrying about leaving him for the day and about him having a recurrence of his virus. I knew I was worrying about big things that were out of my control so I digressed to worrying about little things. I laid there and thought about what party favors I'd get for Preston's party. Then I worried about whether I'd go to Walmart before or after my mommy group walk today. Finally, I wore myself out and fell asleep. Unfortunately it was not a peaceful night's sleep due to the nightmares the book gave me. But I slept for about 7 hours so I cannot complain. Hopefully I'll go to sleep early tonight and sleep uninterrupted, without nightmares.

Little Joe and Candy

Today we added two new additions to the Lazy H Ranch... Little Joe and Candy. They're Nigerian dwarf goats and are about Preston's size. I drove out to Palamino Valley (about an hour away) to get them while Rob got the fencing up for them. Let me say that having 2 goats and an 11 month old in the car together makes for an interesting ride. One of the goats pooped immediately, which smelled to high heaven. Then the goats started bleating back and forth. Preston, not to be outdone, started "bleating" back even louder than the goats. Somehow he wore himself out enough to fall asleep despite the noise. But, after a short catnap, he was back at it, "talking" back and forth with the goats. When we got home the fence wasn't completely done. We let Little Joe out to see how he would act. He followed me around, eating as he went (which is great because we got them to be weedeaters). He is just like a dog, wanting me to pet him and loving human attention. I was told that Candy is shy so we didn't let her out until the fence was done. Once it was done, she and Little Joe had fun running around their new home. I'm hoping they don't become coyote or mountain lion food because, to be honest, I am tired of the revolving door of animals here. We've got and gotten rid of 3 horses and a dog already. I'm hoping that Little Joe and Candy are here to stay for awhile.

2 Years and Counting...

Two years ago, almost to the minute, I was getting into a horse drawn carriage with my dad to be taken to the beautiful place where Rob was waiting. We said our vows in front of close friends and family, enjoying the special time together. I've thought about that fairy tale moment several times today, thinking about how much has happened since we said "I do" 2 years ago. Last year we celebrated our 1st anniversary by enjoying a night in Tahoe and a gorgeous dinner cruise. I was 2 weeks away from having Preston, a whole new adventure we were about to embark on. We had a really nice time together, savoring the time with just the two of us, knowing life was about to change... for the better! This year I was wondering what we'd do since our real celebration date in next week when my parents come to watch Preston. Needless to say, Rob came through big again! He surprised me by giving me the dishwasher that I've wanted since we moved in here. Me, being the dork I am, asked if we could return it so I could get running shoes instead. Rob also took off work a little early so we could hang out this afternoon. We shot our bows until we woke Preston up and our time together, just the two of us, was cut short. Tonight Rob is going to take me to a nice restaurant in town that one of his co-workers recommended. I'm really looking forward to getting dressed up and going out to a new place. Of course, just like last year, we'll be bringing Preston with us. But, I can't imagine a better way to celebrate our life together than with all 3 of us together!

If You're Happy and You Know It....

CLAP YOUR HANDS!!! That's exactly what Preston started doing today! Just between you and me, I've wondered for awhile why he could wave, give kisses, point (although that's fairly new) and do a few baby signs but couldn't clap. I didn't figure out what he was doing until this afternoon but I think he officially started clapping this morning. He's also doing the "more" sign sporadically so I thought he was asking for more food this morning. I probably stuffed the poor boy to the gills, thinking he was asking for more when in reality he was clapping. It became blatantly obvious this afternoon, however, and he's been doing it non-stop ever since. Rob is working a 16-20 hour shift today and I had to share it with someone. So, I Skyped Mom and Dad Herrington and they got a kick out of watching him clap himself silly.
The other fun, but not-as-exciting news, is that he started drinking from a straw today as well. I got him a small cup of Jamba Juice but would only let him have it by using the straw. He figured out pretty quick how to get what he wanted.
AAWWWW, the changes and growing up happens daily. In less than a month he'll officially be a toddler. Watch out world....here comes Robert Preston Herrington V, the toddler!!!

Cheyenne and the Garbage Man

Today, much to our dismay, we sold Cheyenne to a 12 year old little girl that was so excited to get her. Rob and I didn't want to get rid of her but she is not be ridden, nor will she be until next Spring. At that point, Rob wasn't sure how sound she'd be to ride after going 1 1/2 years without being ridden. He can't chance being bucked anymore so we decided it was best to sell her. I didn't want to be here when the dad came to pick her up but it worked out that I was. Rob watched as the guy drove away with her but I couldn't handle it. After Cheyenne was gone we shed a tear or two because she is such a great horse. Under different circumstances she would've been with us for life. We're even secretly hoping that it doesn't work out with the other family so we can get her back at some point. Goodbyes are hard and we've said 2of them today!

On a lighter note, Preston may choose to be a garbage man. I was cleaning out his toybox this afternoon, throwing away trinket toys that he doesn't play with. When I put them in the garbage can I didn't even think he was paying attention but apparently I was wrong! He crawled over to the garbage can, pulled himself up and lifted the lid. He pulled out 2 of the toys I had thrown away and started playing with them. Guess he does play with them afterall! OOPS!

Fun Filled Week

Mom and Dad Herrington were here for a week visiting. Not long enough but long enough to form a close bond with Preston. I took advantage of them being here by leaving Preston with them while I ran errands. My goal in that was two fold... 1) Give them time to bond without mommy or daddy around and 2)Get Preston used to being left so it won't be as traumatic when he starts daycare next month. I think, all in all, my plan worked. Preston loved cuddling in Mimi's lap and making funny noises with her. He also made sure that Grandpa was watching him at all times when he played with his toys or tried walking.
We ventured out to do things during the week (Rob was able to take 2 days off, which was REALLY nice). We went to Truckee, Tahoe and Pyramid Lake....all beautiful places. We laughed, debated (laughed while we debated), sat out on the deck in the evenings, BBQ'd and cherished every moment together. One special day for me was when Mom and I went to Olive Garden for a Mother/Daughter lunch, a favorite for both of us. We enjoyed talking, feeding Preston and getting closer. We also ran errands and "horse hunted" (Looked for mustangs around the area). It was one of the most memorable times for me.
Mom and Dad Herrington left early, early this morning and the house is so quiet. Preston ate his breakfast with his neck craned, watching the staircase. He expected them to come up the stairs at any minute. Once he realized it was just me and him he got fussy. I guess that means that Mimi and Grandpa need to come visit more often. If only we could all just live closer!

First Haircut

At 11 months and a few days old, Preston went for his first haircut. We went to a kids' place that specializes in first haircuts. A friend told me to bring snacks to distract him. So, after getting strapped into the chair, Rob started feeding Preston. Wanda (Mimi) blew bubbles to distract him. He wasn't liking it too much but he was doing okay until they got the electric clippers out to trim around his ears. Preston is going through a phase right now where he's sensitive to loud noises. In hindsight we wish we would've asked the lady not to use the clippers. But, we didn't and instead watched as Preston wiggled and fussed. Finally, Rob stepped in to help hold his head so the lady could finish. It was not by any stretch of the imagination a perfect haircut but it was a fun first experience...at least for the adults (although Rob felt really guilty holding his head while the lady trimmed around Preston's ears). Now he looks a TAD more like a toddler but he'll still be our baby for awhile longer.

Beautiful Sunday

You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day yesterday. We woke up early (ok, so that part wasn't beautiful but snuggling with Preston was) and enjoyed a big breakfast. I went to church and ran errands while everyone stayed at home, playing with Preston and visiting. In the afternoon we piled into the Yukon and enjoyed the gorgeous hour long drive to Truckee, where we met my parents for lunch. Both sets of grandparents had fun entertaining Preston and catching up with each other. After lunch we decided to take the scenic drive back and detoured through North Shore. The scenery was breath taking and the drive memorable. We laughed and talked and thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by family. Once we got home Holly and I went for a walk then Preston and I watered the flowers around the property. We ended the perfect day with a nightcap on the back deck. The weather was beautiful, the company was fabulous and the day was perfect. You can't ask for much better than that!

teddy bear.

i didnt write this, but its an old song. pretty good'n that i thought id share.. enjoy
I was on the outskirts of a little southern town,
Trying to reach my destination before the sun went down.
The old CB was blaring away on channel one-nine
When there came a little boy's voice on the radio line.
And he said, "Breaker, one-nine, is anyone there?
Come on back, truckers, and talk to Teddy Bear."
Well, I keyed the mike and I said, "Well, you got it,Teddy Bear."
And the little boy's voice came back on the air.
"'Preciate the break. Who we got on that end?"
I told him my handle, and then he began:

"Now, I'm not supposed to bother you fellas out there,
Mom says you're busy and for me to stay off the air.
But, you see, I get lonely and it helps to talk
'Cause that's about all I can do. I'm crippled and I can't walk."

I came back and told him to fire up that mike
And I'd talk to him as long as he'd like.
"This was my dad's radio," the little boy said,
"But I guess it's mine and Mom's now 'cause my daddy's dead.
Dad had a wreck about a month ago.
He was trying to get home in a blinding snow.
Mom has to work now to make ends meet
And I'm not much help with my two crippled feet.
She says not to worry, that we'll make it all right,
But I hear her crying sometimes late at night.
You know, there's one thing I want more than anything else to see.
Aw, I know you guys are too busy to bother with me,
But, you see, my dad used to take me for rides when he was home
But I guess that's all over now since my daddy's gone."

Not one breaker came on the old CB
As that little crippled boy talked with me.
I tried hard to swallow, the lump just wouldn't stay down
As I thought about my boy back in Greenville town.

"Dad was gonna take Mom and me with him later on this year.
Why, I remember him saying, 'Someday this old truck'll be yours, Teddy Bear.'
But I know I'll never get to ride an 18-wheeler again,
But this old base will keep me in touch with all my trucker friends.
Teddy Bear's gonna back on out now and leave you alone
'Cause it's about time for Mom to come home.
But you give me a shout when you're passing through
And I'll sure be happy to come back to you."

Well, I came back and I said, "Before you go ten-ten,
What's your home-twenty, little CB friend?"
Well, he gave me his address and I didn't once hesitate
'Cause this hot load of freight was just gonna have to wait.
I turned that truck around on a dime
And headed straight for Jackson Street, 229.

And as I rounded the corner, boy, I got one heck of a shock--
Eighteen-wheelers were lined up for three city blocks!
Why, I guess every driver for miles around had caught Teddy Bear's call
And that little crippled boy was having a ball.
For as fast as one driver would carry him in,
Another would carry him to his truck and take off again.
Well, you better believe I took my turn at riding Teddy Bear
And then I carried him back in and put him down in his chair.
And, buddy, if I never live to see happiness again
I want you to know I saw it that day, in the face of that little man.

We took up a collection for him before his mama got home
And each driver said goodbye and then they were all gone.
He shook my hand with a mile-long grin
And said, "So long, trucker, I'll catch you again!"
I hit that interstate with tears in my eyes
And I turned on the radio and I got another surprise.
"Breaker, one-nine," came a voice on the air,
"Just one word of thanks from Mama Teddy Bear.
We wish each and every one a special prayer for you
'Cause you just made my little boy's dream come true.
I'll sign off now before I start to cry.
May God ride with you. Ten-four, and goodbye."

Another One

This is shaping up to be another fun filled weekend! Last night we had some great quality family time, wrestling and tickling Preston, playing catch. This morning I was woken up an hour earlier than I wanted to because Preston decided he could no longer sleep when there were tubes of butt paste to play with, books to read and Holly to squeal at. Who could blame him?? (Me! Since I was still tired!) Later this morning, after naps, we will be going to Preston's first birthday party. He missed the last one so I'm excited we get to be part of his little friend turning one. After the party we will be heading to the airport to pick up Mom and Dad Herrington. We are VERY excited about their visit!! Tomorrow we'll head to Truckee for the afternoon to meet up with my parents. We'll hang out for a few hours, enjoying lunch together while both sets of parents ooh and aah over their grandson. Rob is taking Monday off so we'll have another 3 day weekend at the Herrington household. Monday will be bittersweet. We're selling Cheyenne much to our dismay. We decided it's not fair to keep her because of Rob's shoulder and work schedule. Then we'll go get Preston's first haircut, which I'm excited about. His hair isn't long but it hangs over his ears and is really uneven so it'll be nice to have it cut. After that we'll go make our trip to Scheels that we do whenever we have family visit. All in all it'll be another fabulous weekend!

Back to 2nd Grade!

Without going into details, I needed to find a different teaching job for next year. I wanted part time and had applied for 3 different positions at schools closer to our house. The first interview at a school close to home did NOT go well at all so I was not surprised to find out I didn't get the job. I interviewed for a different job yesterday (that was a little further away but still a lot closer than my previous school) and was on pins and needles all day, waiting to hear whether I got it or not. The principal FINALLY called around 7pm tonight to offer me the 2nd grade part time position for next year. I am beyond excited....if I have to go back to work...and thankful for the many prayers that people said on my behalf for this job situation. God is good and He provided!

One More...

Hi all,
I entered Preston in a local baby contest. Please click on the following link to vote on his picture. You can vote every day until June 11th. Thanks for your vote!

Last Few Days

The past few days have been busy ones for the Herrington household. We enjoyed a wonderful, yet productive, Memorial Day weekend together. We took time to remember the soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom. But, we also enjoyed friends and BBQs. All in all a perfect weekend! Then the work week began........
Poor Rob worked a full day on Tuesday then got 4 hours of rest before starting a night shift the same day. I wanted him to sleep as much as possible yesterday so I took Preston to Sacto, leaving our house quiet for Rob. My plan didn't work out quite as planned because I got an interview for a school. We thoroughly enjoyed the short amount of time we had with my parents but cut our trip short. It worked out because my parents had to leave yesterday to head to San Diego. Now that my dad's retired he is a ???? (I don't know how to spell it and I just recently learned out to say it correctly). He is in charge of Operation Welcome Home, a project that aides soldiers in getting back into the workforce once they come back from duty. My parents went to SD to be part of a presentation for the project and to see my brother and SIL (and their new dog).
Back on track....my interview went pretty good. I still haven't heard anything but am hoping to later today. My nerves can't handle waiting any longer. :) Last night Rob worked again so I tried to keep Preston quiet this morning. I finally took him down the hill to run a few errands. Then I cleaned the house, getting ready for the Herrington's visit this next week. Unfortunately, Rob didn't get as much sleep as he needed but he's a trooper.
I guess that fills you in on our last few days. I'm fighting a migraine and it's Preston's naptime so I think we're both going to lay down now. G'night!
