Growth Spurt!
When P first started eating solid food he ate more than a NFL Football team. Then his eating slowed down quite a bit. Now he's in the habit of eating a good sized breakfast, a medium lunch and little to no dinner. He also snacks throughout the day on crackers, fruit, etc. Although he hasn't even gained a pound in the past 2 doctor's visits, I'm not worried about his eating. He eats healthy and produces at least one poopy diaper a day so I know he's getting what he needs. He's also been a great sleeper since he was about 6 mos old. In the past he's taken 1 1/2 hour nap and then will sleep about 11-12 hours a night. But lately all of this has gone out the window. Now, instead of eating a good sized breakfast, he eats enough for a few football players. Yesterday he devoured 2 bowls of Cheerios and some blueberries. Then at lunch he ate 4 helpings of Mac N Cheese as well as 2 helpings of pineapple! He followed that with a 3 hour nap! He's falling asleep a lot later than usual which probably attributes to the long naps lately (which I'm very much ok with!). This morning P wanted a waffle instead of cereal. After finishing his waffle and blueberries he asked for my cereal. After he downed my cereal and asked for more I got him his own bowl of cereal. He finished that and asked for another bowl of cereal. That last bowl of cereal finally filled him up! Today's gymnastics so I can't wait to see how much he eats for lunch and how long he sleeps this afternoon! Our lil guy must've hit a growth spurt because of all this eating and sleeping has made him pretty much skip the 2T and move right into 3T clothing!!
