Free Woman!

Well, I am rid of the cast which is a blessing and a curse. Those of you that know me well, know that I pass out easily when it comes to injuries. For some bizarre reason, I am most prone to passing out during the removal of the cast and the x-ray process. So, true to form, that's what I did yesterday at the doctor's office. I got real queasy during x-rays but I didn't actually pass out until checking out after my appt. The doctor wouldn't let me leave his building until he was confident that I'd be able to make the drive home. Talk about embarrassing! I came to in the waiting room with sweat pouring down my face. I was able to make it home ok, but as soon as I walked in the door I went straight to bed for the night (at 6pm). When my alarm went off this morning and I got up, I was light headed. So, instead of passing out in front of my students, I decided to call in sick. If you know of a way to cure me of this embarrassing problem I am open to any suggestions. I've been like this since the first time I had knee surgery in high school and would be more than happy not to have to explain to everyone how I am going to pass out when I get injured. Well, off to soak my elbow in a hot bath so I can attempt to move it. AAHHHH, to be free of the cast...

Like father like daughter; your dad is a "fainter" too. Don't know anyway to prevent it other than putting your head down between your knees or if lying down, elevate your feet. Mom

Didn't this start with something about Bob and a bed pan? I have no room to talk, I used to faint when the nurse took my blood pressure.
