First Haircut

At 11 months and a few days old, Preston went for his first haircut. We went to a kids' place that specializes in first haircuts. A friend told me to bring snacks to distract him. So, after getting strapped into the chair, Rob started feeding Preston. Wanda (Mimi) blew bubbles to distract him. He wasn't liking it too much but he was doing okay until they got the electric clippers out to trim around his ears. Preston is going through a phase right now where he's sensitive to loud noises. In hindsight we wish we would've asked the lady not to use the clippers. But, we didn't and instead watched as Preston wiggled and fussed. Finally, Rob stepped in to help hold his head so the lady could finish. It was not by any stretch of the imagination a perfect haircut but it was a fun first experience...at least for the adults (although Rob felt really guilty holding his head while the lady trimmed around Preston's ears). Now he looks a TAD more like a toddler but he'll still be our baby for awhile longer.
